editing still or again?

Does it pay off? From my perspective it does because it raises my awareness of what it takes to realize a truly great image. How much time to spend editing a photo? As long as it takes if it is worth the effort; and that is the trick. Realizing if the picture can even be saved is the first step; it’s imperative to recognize that.

New binoculars

If I still lived in Minnesota I would have purchased the 8-46 due to the limited range visibility. The undergrowth is thick and the distances short. The only con that applied to me is on occasion a tri-pod must be employed with the 12-50; I’m ok with that.

Anyhow this is the way things are.

I don’t suspect the critters will be out and about tomorrow due to the heat. I really wonder if they are sensitive to the high and low pressure that moves in from the ocean. I think I’ll start a line graph comparing their absence with the barometric pressure. Sounds exciting doesn’t it, well that’s the kind of crazy stuff I do, after all I have Excel and know how to use it.

Hawks, light and wind

This particular Hawk is a creature of habit, each morning between 7-8 am he flies the far levee. If I’m on the levee prior to that time frame I will most likely see him. The Sun hitting the bird from this angle really pays off for photography.

I bought photoshop.

Isn’t that the way of it starting a new adventure with little if any idea of what the product is capable of; I find myself in this spot regularly. On the flip side of that coin it’s as I’ve told my kids “That’s the way we learn.”

I recomend using a tri-pod

I have recently been looking at Gimbles which would allow more movement in all directions. I have envisioned how it would make a difference for me and I have not come up with on yet. I suppose if I were to purchase one for under $100.00 it would give me the chance to find out if it would help.

Slow morning.

The biggest problem is they can never be brought into focus nor can they be repaired. I have attempted many times to repair an image to no avail they all have ended up looking- Plastic-.

I got a new lens

I would like to be able to reach out another 100 feet further than the 400 but that’s not going to happen. I will be satisfied with 50-75 feet, that will allow me to take great images to 50 feet beyond the far Levee
