Opportunity knocks; the door creaks open.

I have one picture on display at a State Park visitors center near me, all I did was read the rules, conform to them and my Picture was accepted. I am one of about 100, no others from our Island which is disappointing as there are several photographers here that are very talented.

QUARANTINED again.

I have looked at Mount Diablos eastern slope for 18 years, it has the potential of a good photograph. There is one glitch, on this side utility towers and lines run right through the middle it.

overcast and dark.

The high pressure area formed over the top of California, Nevada, Utah and several other States. When that happens I have extreme Arthritis and Lupus flair’s. This past one was severe my left leg collapsed reducing it impossible for me to walk my normal 10 steps.

Wild fires

I have no idea how to solve this cycle of endless fires. I would like to see logging allowed in the state again. I may be ill-informed but it seems if we were rid of the compromised trees it would lessen the fuel available.

editing still or again?

Does it pay off? From my perspective it does because it raises my awareness of what it takes to realize a truly great image. How much time to spend editing a photo? As long as it takes if it is worth the effort; and that is the trick. Realizing if the picture can even be saved is the first step; it’s imperative to recognize that.

not a creature is stirring.

Distance is a factor as well, I regularly attempt to reach out way too far to capture an image. I was looking at the new Canon 800mm prime lens, but I could accomplish the same results if I were to wait for them to get in range or I suppose I could move closer

shadows gone

I was ready and snapped a dozen photos in quick succession, I felt it was a grand success. It was not, I left the camera settings as they were. The images suffered from; over-exposure, blur from too slow of a shutter speed and zero detail. All were deleted then shoved to the trash, I should have checked my settings; there is always next time.
