Wild fires

I have no idea how to solve this cycle of endless fires. I would like to see logging allowed in the state again. I may be ill-informed but it seems if we were rid of the compromised trees it would lessen the fuel available.

not a creature is stirring.

Distance is a factor as well, I regularly attempt to reach out way too far to capture an image. I was looking at the new Canon 800mm prime lens, but I could accomplish the same results if I were to wait for them to get in range or I suppose I could move closer

shadows gone

I was ready and snapped a dozen photos in quick succession, I felt it was a grand success. It was not, I left the camera settings as they were. The images suffered from; over-exposure, blur from too slow of a shutter speed and zero detail. All were deleted then shoved to the trash, I should have checked my settings; there is always next time.

no more mid day photo shoots.

I now have to wait to perform that task until the wind stops September 1st, I will then have all winter to complete it. I’m using single point focus now anyway making the calibration almost moot so I’ll just keep using it. Single point is my focusing goal, I will merely adapt it now.

still underexposed in the mid-day sun.

Once again I have discovered with it on close ups within 50 feet aren’t too terribly bad. But when I go beyond that further out I go the blurrier the image is, it will not focus correctly. I’m taking

New binoculars

If I still lived in Minnesota I would have purchased the 8-46 due to the limited range visibility. The undergrowth is thick and the distances short. The only con that applied to me is on occasion a tri-pod must be employed with the 12-50; I’m ok with that.

tasks in the wind.

I’m satisfied doin’ what I’m doin’ with zero pressure and not stressing about selling “stuff”. In the meantime I will continue educating myself about the Photoshop suite of applications and taking photographs when the critters are ready.
